Family Dog Mediation

Family Dog Meditation

L.E.G.S® Family Dog Mediation® uses applied ethology to understand dogs’ behaviour and help mediate the relationship between humans and dogs.
Ethology is the science which studies   behaviour of an animal’s in its natural habitat.

Applied Ethology is the science which studies animals who live under human management.

Applied ethology is a growing scientific field helping improve the welfare of captive animals . Only the last few years, science has begun to reveal the true complexity of the nature of our dogs.

As a Family Dog Mediator I use the L.E.G.S.® model, (Learning, Environment, Genetics and Self) created by Kim Brophey trying to find the root of the behaviour problem.

In this way, we can determine the best way to solve them. The Family Dog Mediation® model goes beyond just the surface of behaviour and training.

Kim Brophy, the founder of L.E.G.S. Applied Ethology Family Dog Mediation® model has organized dog breeds into ten groups to help us understand our breeds.

If you aren’t sure which group your dog belongs to, try:
